How to be non-threatening at the workplace

Ladies, an excellent guide appeared on the Cooper Review about non-threatening leadership strategies for women. I’d say they also apply in non-leardership positions, these are simply “rules of behaving properly” at work. Whatever the field, regardless of whether an institution is private or public, these have been very common experiences for me.

Caption for this photo come from the Cooper Review: “When sharing your ideas, overconfidence is a killer. You don’t want your male coworkers to think you’re getting all uppity. Instead, downplay your ideas as just “thinking out loud,” “throwing something out there,” or sharing something “dumb,” “random,” or “crazy.”

Painfully familiar.
